- Tent pegs and guy ropes
- Groundsheet
- Mallet to hammer the pegs in
- Torch (with spare batteries)
- Lighter or matches
- Bin bags
- Tupperware or plastic bags to store food in
- Tea making facilities - if you have a stove
- Tin opener
- Bottle opener
- Gas bottle (if you're taking your stove)
- Toilet paper
- Maps and a compass, or a GPS if your doing any hiking.
- If you're taking an airbed - remember to take something to inflate it
